The baby season is in full swing and there are little ones to be seen all over the reserve. Being the holiday season it was busy both with guests and some great sightings. 

We have shared some great moments and sightings with our guests both on balloons and game-drives over this past month. Here are some photos that were taken during the month that we would like to share with you.

Activities, Blog, Seen on Game Drives

We have had a few days of rain in November and the park is looking so lush and green. The last week in November we started to see some baby Impalas, Red hartebeest, and zebras. The baby season has started! 

We had a few hot air balloon flights this month including an exclusive flight for two with a proposal. 

We have shared some great moments and sightings with our guests both on balloons and game-drives over this past month. Here are some photos that were taken during the month that we would like to share with you.

Blog, Hot Air Balloon

Summer is here as we experienced some high temperatures during the month, some days over 38 degrees. Later in the month, the rain arrived which means all the areas in the park that had burnt are now turning lush and green.

Our balloons have started flying again and we are thrilled to share this amazing experience with guests again.

This year the theme of World Environment Day 2020 is “Celebrate Biodiversity”.

Did you know?

Biodiversity is the shortened form of two words “biological” and “diversity”. It refers to all the variety of life that can be found on Earth (plants, animals, fungi and micro-organisms) as well as to the communities that they form and the habitats in which they live. With almost 1 million plant & animal species facing extinction, there has never been a more important time to focus on biodiversity.

 

World Environment Day promotes ways to improve the Earth’s environment.

Our focus at Mankwe GAMETRACKERS for the entire month of June will be to drive the concept of keeping our environment clean.

 

Covid-19 has become the center of attention for everyone in South Africa and the world at large. Key issues and messages are receiving less and less attention one such being the environment and conservation. Therefore, our hashtags this year are #KeepSafe, #KeepOurEnvironmentclean, #LiftTheLitter. We believe this message will bring back awareness and even probe the proper disposing of Covid-19 related litter. As restrictions are lifting, the litter must be lifted too.

 

So as we celebrate today, we would like to remind all our teams, our customers, partners and our communities at large to lift the litter whilst in lockdown…
